Dear Resident, I just wanted to provide an update on some of the incidents local officers have dealt with over the last couple of weeks - it should be noted that this only reflects some of the work from one half of the team in Ramsgate, and there will be some incidents or actions that will not be disclosed. The intention of the below is to provide a brief snapshot of some of the work taking place. Officers attended a neighbour dispute, resulting in the arrest of a 35 year old female for criminal damage, harassment, possession of amphetamine and public order offences. The female has been bailed and the incident remains under investigation. 44 year old male stopped and issued 2 x FPN's in relation to breach of his Community Protection Notice within the town centre50 year old female stopped driving a vehicle, and subsequently dealt with for offences of no license, no insurance and no MOT - vehicle seized. 44 year old male detained for drug search on Eagle Hill, Ramsgate, following concerns around drug activity in the area46 year old female detained for shoplifting from store in the town - goods recovered - female issued with Community Resolution22 year old male detained for drug search on Harbour Street, Ramsgate - quantity of cannabis located17 year old male stopped on e-scooter in Boundary Park, Ramsgate - e-scooter seized for destruction and traffic offence report issued for no insurance36 year old male detained and arrested following shoplifting in town centre - goods recovered and male charged. 37 year old male detained and arrested following shoplifting in town centre - goods recovered - male wanted for domestic related offences, for which he has now been charged52 year old male detained on an e-scooter after failing to stop for officers; male arrested for offences of assault on emergency worker, driving without insurance, possession of amphetamine and cannabis, failing to stop and driving whilst unfit through drink or drugs. Male has been bailed and remains under investigation. 36 year old male detained and arrested following shoplifting in town centre - male charged. Alcohol seized and disposed of under the PSPO following concerns around anti-social behaviour38 year old male detained and arrested for possession of offensive weapon and common assault following report of a disturbance on Harbour Street, Ramsgate, whereby a knuckle duster was located. Male remains under investigation. A quantity of suspected illicit tobacco seized by officers on foot patrol - information shared with trading standards and Thanet Council as part of ongoing investigation.
